Thanks to Bruce, Fung, Hengki and all the wonderful staff at Black Sand for an awesome week in your truly special retreat! The diving was all we could have wished for and more, with Hengki constantly amazing with his ability to find these critters - thanks for all the frogfish, seahorses, waspfish, Ambon scorpionfish, pygmy pipehorses (two species!!), and so much more... the list seems endless - not to forget the monkeyfish that Bruce especially found for me!!! Absolutely wonderful 6 days in this dive resort! The guides Atu and Hengki were most professional. They found lots of interesting stuff, but were careful not to destroy the environment. Highly recommended!

Lying on my bed and looking out to the bay, recalling the past 10 days at Black Sand Retreat, this must be one of our best dive holidays. Our compliments to Bruce, Fung and all the staff members of the Retreat. Continue the good work, guys. "I shall return" to quote MacArthur.

It was a most pleasant and personable experience and we think that this has a lot to do with your business philosophy and beliefs, which were mostly translated to the staff. Both the restaurant and diving staff are very observant and made the effort to remember individual preferences. Hengki, for example, noticed right away that I had a wrong weight belt on (off by only 2 lbs) on one dive.

We will definitely be back again to dive with you; and hopefully, see the elusive rhinopias.

It was great to be at Black Sand Dive Retreat. The rooms, the dives, the food: everything was good. The staff is very friendly and always there to help you.

And we have a lot of fun with Vian at the National Park. It was great to look for the monkeys.

Bruce, Fung and staff, thank you for everything. I hope to come back next year.
